The Mixed Ability cycling and learn to ride sessions are held at the running track at Spen Leisure Centre WF15 6LW. The community rides leave from the running track and go along Spen Valley Greenway via Primrose Lane or the linked cycle paths.
Spen Valley Greenway – An award-winning walking and cycling route on the site of former railway routes. It’s a wonderful green corridor running through densely populated urban areas, beautiful countryside with moorland views, a wildlife reserve, and the rolling hills of West Yorkshire.
The 8-mile route runs from Ravensthorpe to Low Moor and into Bradford, connecting the towns of Cleckheaton, Dewsbury and Heckmondwike along the way. See link for more info http://www.railwaypaths.org.uk/our-achievements/spen-valley-greenway/
The new £15m Spen Valley leisure Centre is scheduled for completion in the winter of 2021-2022 and the existing running track and associated facilities will remain
